Ice Cream Shop on Stimulus
I was awarded $250,000 through the recently signed Stimulus Bill to open my Ice Cream Shop. It is understood that this Stimulus money is a token from the Federal Government to assist small businesses in creating jobs and stimulating the Economy!
We had a Grand Opening Party, with everything I could buy or rent with the Stimulus money. It had to be the best in town, like the Inaugural, the cost was of no concern! I was so happy to be a Community Organizer!
We started giving out our Ice Cream. What? You wouldn't expect us to sell them, would you? After all, I was taking the lead from our Banking and Financial Corporations!
Well, after about a week, we ran out of Ice Cream. Just like the Mortgage Lenders! But I was out of Stimulus money too, just like AIG! I felt BIG in the community!
Then it happened. I had to lay-off all my employees. I couldn't figure it out. The Stimulus Bill was suppose to create jobs and boost the economy. I just had to face facts, that the Government has no business in the private sector! The Government can't give out money for short term projects and promise that jobs are being created. I found out that my Ice Cream Shop was just to make people think that this Stimulus Bill was going to make everything better! It didn't! It just passed the problems over, neglecting the long-term and it didn't really do that much for the short-term. It just didn't work!
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
Let's recap the past few weeks. Tuesday of last week, we saw the President, again, signing what is now called by many the Spendulus Bill. Anyone that has read the Bill or portions there of have found Pork, Earmarks, or whatever one wants to call it.
Democrats were recorded as saying "Lets not squabble over a few pet projects, let's look at the overall good the Bill will do for the American People and pass this bill before we have a catastrophe on our hands"...or something to that affect. Railroading? I call it that! Now, some state governors are saying they will refuse funds for their Unemployment programs because the bill stipulates that when the Federal Funds run out, the states are required to continue to provide the upgrades to their Unemployment Programs. That means the states will, or could be, back to square one...asking for assistance from the Federal Government!
Will someone tell me how Socialism gets started? Seems like the above scenario is how!
The Stimulus Bill has government jobs increasing substantially. For every program suggested on the Stimulus Bill, in dollar amounts, some equal to $10 Million is alloted for the enactment and control of the program.
I encourage every American to download and read the Bill. It's too late to act, as the Bills passage is on the books. But it's not to late to tell your Congress or Senate representative that you will NOT be voting for them come the next election!
$335 Million of the Bill is allocated for STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease). How does that stimulate the economy? It doesn't. There are some items that have been removed, but there are plenty left that will eat up the billions of taxpayer dollars that will only take our Great Nation to it's knees!
Again, as this bill creates more government jobs, it is setting in motion a damaging affect, that of a Socialist Society unlike the world has ever known!
It is up to each of us to be cognizant of the laws and wasteful spending of our elected officials. It is our duty as the voting public to protect the rights of all Americans and deliver a just vote to those that do not represent the population's well being. One vote does matter.
